I think i’ll be sticking to putting up a post every weekend and if something random happens ill sneak that in too.
Now lets get into this and I promise not to sound too nerdy. For awhile ive have some darks spot on my face from acne and they don’t seem to be fading. I’m shameful to say that I have tried spot removers and cleansers but nada and I felt it was time to just give up!
As I was about to throw in the towel, I asked about remedies for dark facial spots on my instastory and a friend told me to try out The Ordinary. The Ordinary is part of the Canadian company DECIEM, which also consists of other brands such as Niod, Chemistry and Hylamide.
Pros: If you know me, you should know by now that I have an aficionado for minimalistic designs and affordability and this brand ticked both off the list.
Cons: Due to a wide range of products, it was difficult selecting the items I needed, now I wonder why they call themselves “The Abnormal Beauty Company” huh?
To rectify this, I reached out to them on Instagram and in no time got a regimen and guidelines on how to use the products which I will highlight below.
1 – The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA : A concentrated serum with purified alpha arbutin; Alpha Arbutin reduces the looks of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
2 – The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% : A high-strength vitamin and mineral formula that visibly targets the look of blemishes and signs of congestion. Niacinamide has also been shown to have a visible brightening effect.
3 – The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% : A brightening and hydrating cream formula with stabilized Vitamin C derivative to visibly target uneven tone, dullness and signs of ageing.
1 – The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA
2 – The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (A multifunctional brightening formula that visibly targets uneven tone, textural irregularities and the look of blemishes)
I’m also going to include exfoliation and facial masks to this routine.
Do you have skincare goals for the year or have you tried the Deciem brand before?
